Multi-Story Commercial Building

With the Fluted Floor System, the embodied greenhouse emissions of commercial buildings reduce up to 50%. The majority of concrete used in commercial buildings are due to the concrete requirement of the floor slabs. The Fluted Floor reduces concrete by 50% in comparison to traditional systems which in turn translates to significant overall concrete reductions for an entire multi-story project.

Large water usage on construction sites are required for concrete, screed and especially shutter cleaning. Water consumption is therefore minimized and controlled as the Fluted Floor heavily reduces concrete, reduces screed and eliminates the wastage of water due to temporary formwork cleaning. The Fluted Floor has extremely high thermal insulative properties when working together with ceilings. The slab is comprehensively green during construction and during occupation.

Construction at large heights poses many risks. The Fluted Floor System has a safe erection process largely due to the lightweight design of each of its components. Once the permanent formwork has been installed, it acts as a secure platform for workers to walk on.
